BACKRita actively contributes to our firm’s litigation department by drafting legal memoranda, motions, briefs, pleadings, letters of intent and other documents in complex public and private litigation matters. She also participates in pre-litigation settlement discussions. Her responsibilities extend to extensive research, gathering information on relevant laws, judicial decisions, legal articles, and other materials to fortify attorneys in the development of cases. In addition to her litigation support, Rita offers strategic recommendations to clients across diverse areas, including personal status, banking, labor and employment, real estate, insurance and maritime affairs.
In the corporate department, she ensures companies’ compliance with Lebanese regulations, preparing necessary documentation, such as drafting minutes of meetings and transactional documents, negotiating and reviewing various agreements. Her expertise extends from guiding entities through the entire life cycle, from initial incorporation to the concluding processes of dissolution and liquidation.
Notably, Rita supports NGOs in various legal capacities, encompassing incorporation, bylaw and internal regulations amendments, and recommending significant, compliance-driven changes. She is involved in preparing minutes of meetings, aiding in daily operational activities, and providing valuable legal advice to NGO members.
Rita also contributes to the marketing team, managing relations with the media.
She participated in an inter-university program on International Criminal Law and Procedure organized in cooperation with the T.M.C. Asser Institute The Hague, the International and Transitional Justice Resource Center and the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. She also obtained relevant certificates in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and intellectual property.
On a personal note, she is a dedicated civil activist, having volunteered with the Lebanese Red Cross for four years.
Rita was admitted to the Beirut Bar Association in 2022. She was selected by the Beirut Bar and Paris Bar to participate in the International Internship in Paris and completed an internship at Valmy Avocats where she assisted the Litigation, Restructuring and Energy departments.
