  • Myrna is a Partner at Eptalex and heads its Media and Entertainment practice.

    She provides counsel and advice to our UAE, Middle Eastern and international client base in Arabic, English and French, most notably in the audiovisual industry and intellectual property matters.

    Her expertise focuses on media, entertainment and advertising, copyright, trademarks and licensing. She advises clients across television, radio, print and electronic media, new media, entertainment, cinema and visual works, videogames, music, stage production, mobile communications and sporting events, as well as patents, trademarks and other media and intellectual property assets.

    Myrna has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating deals and arrangements of all kinds, including film and television industry agreements, licence agreements, acquisition, distribution and exploitation agreements, music agreements, festivals and concerts agreements, website agreements, social media agreements, influencer agreements, sports agreements, production, co-production and executive production agreements, advertising agreements, media representation agreements, branding agreements, celebrity agreements, management agreements, performance agreements, tour agreements, play production agreements, designer agreements, publishing agreements, dubbing and subtitling agreements, events agreements, beauty pageant agreements, game agreements and call services agreements.

    Throughout her career, Myrna has developed decades of experience and has provided services to a wide variety of clients, representing them before several private and public entities in the above-mentioned fields.

    She counsels and assists clients in protecting and enforcing their intellectual property rights, including trademark and copyright selection, registration, use and licensing. She has also amassed wide-ranging market knowledge in structuring and negotiating arrangements for clients across a broad array of industries.

    Myrna drafted legal comments on the Lebanese Copyright Law and its proposed amendments.

    She has attended several seminars and public debates organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the Beirut Bar Association, IRPI, Erich Pommer Institut gGmbH and others, mainly on copyright, intellectual property and audiovisual communication, digital distribution and rights clearance, in Lebanon and abroad, including in Arab countries and Europe.

    Myrna was admitted to the Beirut Bar Association in 1996 and is a member of ALAI, the Association Littéraire et Artistique Internationale.
